A HOPELESS SITUATION FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE CITIZENS

 

It was sad to watch President Obama making his Oval Office TV appearance a week or so ago. He looked like a sleepless beaten little man bogged down with a situation far beyond his poor ability to solve. You could almost hear the immature pleading in his voice asking – what can I do? – It’s just not fair – It’s not My fault!

 

He is pretending to strong arm BP but they are his only hope to stop the “Salazar Slick” from completely destroying the fragile environment of the Gulf of Mexico. His administration of political also ran’s like Salazar are, and always have been, completely and totally incompetent bureaucrats. It is becoming obvious that his administration didn’t enforce any of the regulations and, in point of fact, did not understand the regulations since none of them have ever been in the oil and gas drilling business. His efforts at a politically correct clean up are sadly inadequate and his lack of real world executive experience has come into sharp focus. Like so many Ivy League graduates these days common sense and critical thinking has been educated out of them.

 

This “speech” was played out in front of a backdrop of Iranian nuclear weapons, North Korea attacks on South Korea naval ships, Hilary Clinton totally ineffective in foreign policy, Israel striking out on their own as they write off Hilary and Obama, now Afghanistan and all the troop morale has deteriorated, unemployment is rising, the economy is double dipping again, out-sourcing is increasing, the dollar is down even as the Euro falters, the deficit is up by trillions and increasing exponentially daily, Germany and the UK are rejecting the Obama spending into Armageddon policies, Arizona is usurping the Federal Government’s constitutional obligation to defend the borders, the idiotic oil drilling moratorium has been soundly rejected by the courts and the gulf residents, global warming is being proved wrong with every new study released, and clean energy is just not a viable solution to running the American economic machine.

 

Obama is hopeless failure.

WHAT RECOVERY REALLY MEANS FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

 

All the data that keeps coming in, and is reportedly detailing an economic recovery for Colorado and the Nation, must be brought into sharp focus. Before making an important decision we should know that the figures quoted are year over year figures. So if, for example, EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE prices rose by a percent or two they are rising from a historic low. A typical $400,000 home which lost 20-25% of its equity in this recession is selling closer to $300,000. A reported rise in Real Estate values is a rise over the 300k figure not the 400k figure.

 

Homeowners, need to realize that we still have a long way to go the get back to the 2005-2006 break even point or, in our example, to get back to the 400k price. The same is true for all the other reported “good news” about the rise in sales tax revenue, the increase in consumer price index, the real estate tax increases, the new car sales, etc. – all are increases from historic lows.

 

I am always aggravated when all the media stock and bond gurus tell us to buy this stock or that bond. I wonder where they all were before the crash, and now don’t seem to understand we have no money to invest. They and their ilk on Wall Street lost most of our money two years ago while we paid for them to be bailed out by Bernanke and Geithner. There was no bail out for us; we just suffered the loss. The American taxpayer is not too big to fail; only the fat cats on Wall Street and in Washington DC are too big to fail!

 

Most real experts don’t expect our investments to regain their losses, after the current inflationary and tax spiral, until 2017 or so. That, mind you, is when will get back to break even. So be careful analyzing the reports that the economy is on the rebound during this election year; the foreclosures in Colorado in the first quarter of 2010 were at all time highs.
