I wonder at what point the local, state, and federal spending will stop? How much is too much and how much will cause complete chaos in our society and destroy the moral conscience and the freedoms we all love so much? We now own 54 trillion, a sum no reasonable person believes our economy can pay back without inflating our currency by at least 100%.

 

The Federal government is now going to pass universal health care. This will add a trillion and a half dollars to the deficit at a minimum – a trillion and a half we Americans just don’t have. Objective experts place the health care deficit at many more billions that the Trillion and a half just quoted! Where will it come from? How much is too much spending? At what point will we admit our limitations? The world markets are already writing off America. Several countries will no longer accept dollars as payment for US debt.

 

The Global markets want an international currency so that America cannot pay for our huge trade deficit and huge debt with inflated dollars. Folks the game is over. If we don’t stop then America as we know it will shortly end. Either American needs to wake up or it GOOD NIGHT AMERICA.

NO CASH TO PAY THE DEBT FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

 

One of the major problems with our economic society is that we are a debt-based economy. The way we create money is for a bank to hold a 10% cash reserve and then to loan out the other 90% of the loan balance. This is called fractional reserve lending and it is the way money is created in America. So if you apply for a $100.000 loan the bank needs to have $10,000 in cash and then they create the $90,000 to close your loan. In effect they just created $90,000.

 

If you then deposit the proceeds from your loan into the bank then they can use the $100,000 you deposit from your loan to write a loan for $1,000,000; all this on a cash deposit of $10,000. If you were then to deposit the million in the banking system they can now loan out 10 million, again all they need to do is to keep a 10% reserve.

 

The major problem arises when you calculate the total cost of the loan including the interest. The $100,000 loan above will have a total cost $215,837 for a 30 year fixed mortgage loan at 6%. But the bank only created $90,000 in new money. Where will the other $125,837 come from? There is not enough money in the economy to pay off the loan. Hence, the liquidity crisis we are currently experiencing worldwide.

 

If you compound this scenario millions of time across the globe you can begin to imagine the true nature of the problem. It is as if you and I were stranded on a desert island and you had $100.00 in your pocket. I asked you to loan me the $100.00 and I would pay you 10% interest. But how can I pay you $110.00 back if all we have in our little economy is the original $100.00?

THE APPALLING HIPPOCRACY OF THE FDIC  

The FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation), which insures your deposits in the banks, is chastising and fining local banks for being too heavily invested in commercial real estate. The banks are still solvent but the FDIC doesn’t like the percentage of commercial investments so they are reprimanding the local Colorado banks.

One can’t help but notice that the FDIC itself is bankrupt. As of September 29th of 2009 the FDIC insurance fund is running at a negative. Now this is an astounding thing. The banks that are solvent are being punished by the FDIC bureaucrats who themselves have run the FDIC insurance fund into bankruptcy. If your bank now does go broke there is no money in the FDIC fund to cover your losses. I guess the Federal Reserve, who was mandated to regulate the FDIC and the banks, would just print the money and further dilute the value of the dollar.

I don’t know. Businesses across the US from Wall Street of Main Street are hurting. They a laying off employees, cutting staff through attrition, squeezing every penny out of overhead and are still earning less profits than last year. The insidious scam that the government, the national media, and the Wall Street crowd are playing on the American people should be stopped. The Dow Jones average should not be in the nine thousands but in the three thousands. Every time a company listed on the Dow either has major financial problems like AT&T or GM the Dow just drops them from their list and plugs in another highly profitable company.

 

This gives the average 401k contributor a false sense of security when they hear night after night that the Dow Jones was up today by a hundred points or more. The recent crash should have alerted all of us to the scam being foisted on the public by this daily fairy tale report about the solid state of our stock market.

 

We should also be aware that the rising or falling of the stock market is not a good indication of our economy. As we can see the Dow is going up by the minute and unemployment and the business bottom lines of most American and global companies is nose diving. On the other hand most people are hired by small local companies which are not on any stock exchange and these local enterprises are doing fine. In fact they are doing so well that the new administration is planning on tax them out of all their profits in the coming year. Any company or individual who makes 250 thousand dollars or more a year are in the tax man sites. These are the very businesses that are supporting our economy.
