I think everyone agrees that the cause of the melt down was the Federal Reserves cheap money policies which created a bubble. Now the Fed rates are even lower than before and another bubble is being blown up with massive cheap money policies and huge debt spending. Another bubble is looming on the financial horizon.

The old formula that institutional investors, who controlled large pension investment portfolios, is that stocks and bonds would produce 8% over the long haul. The eight percent was based on conservative investing that would protect the original principal. In the last decade the return has not been 8% but a negative 20% with many funds that relied on Wall Street investments losing the all important principal dollars as well. The projection for the stock and bond markets are an additional negative 20% after inflation for the next 10 years, and the risk of losing the principal are much higher than in the past.

 INVESTING IN GOVERNMENT FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE PROSPERITY

 

It only seems natural that if we invest our tax money in government we should reasonably expect a profitable return on our investment. Instead of being a constant drain on our finances we should reap a generous benefit from supporting government and government employees. Just like every other investment you make in life if the investment is a loser and has no prospects of improving the proverbial “wise and prudent” man or women should take their capital elsewhere. If, for example, our education system is ineffective we should demand that we can get a voucher and take our money to a private school where even an average student will get a superior education. If the Federal Reserve constantly destroys the American economy and runs the Federal government into massive private debt we should be able to keep our investment banking dollars in our state like the citizens of North Dakota who have a two billion dollar surplus while all the other 49 states are close to or in bankruptcy.

 

If health care will not work we should be able to start a totally independent health care industry totally separate from the government and the insurance industry where supply and demand determines the costs. The list could go on and on but the point is we need to have alternatives to the failed government programs. We need to start measuring all government activities by cost versus benefit analysis and have viable private or state alternatives if the system is broke. Then we should opt out of sending our tax dollars to the Federal Government and use our money to buy a successful alternative. To keep paying the government to fail is sheer idiocy.

 

Right now we are trying our hardest to out spend the American Economy. If we succeed, we will only drive ourselves further into national bankruptcy.
