Solar is also a huge net loser in the real world. Solar panels are a tremendous eye sore as thy protrude out of the roof tops of otherwise attractive homes; the costs are astronomical and can only be considered a luxury for the government and the wealthy because financially they are a net loser over conventional energy; most of the manufacturing jobs are going to China who is developing the technology – American companies can’t afford the costs; Solar is popular in France and Germany because they are being held hostage by Russia for their gas and oil, not having developed energy independence – in fact Russia turned off the gas to Germany and France two years ago, and is threatening the Ukraine’s supply to demonstrate their power over the western European countries; Solar panels only last about 10 years before major repairs are required and 25 years before they need to be replaced – not enough time to capture the original costs through energy savings.

 

Meanwhile, the entire world, except America, is going nuclear. France, not the US, is the dominate provider as the US government again abdicates new technologies, new business, and new jobs to foreign countries. America could also supply all its electric need with Hydro-electric power and solve the energy problem, the jobs problem, the costs problem, and the environment problem: but that makes to much sense for American politicians and bureaucrats. Labor has always been the standard to ultimately determine the value of anything. If you make $25.00 an hour then your groceries may cost you 6 hours labor per week; if you earn $75.00 and hour then your groceries costs only 2 hours a week. So how many hours do you want to work to pay for the salaries and benefits for the bureaucratic monstrosity our politicians have built over the last 100 years? Please, keep in mind that your sales taxes and income taxes go, in large measure, to pay for bureaucratic waste.

 

The roads are supposed to be paid for by your gas and energy taxes, the schools, fire, police, library from your real estate taxes or rent, the air ports are supported by ticket and used fees, building departments and zoning are also paid for with building permit fees, harbors also get user fees, 911 comes from the 100% tax on your phone bills etc. So how many hours will you work to support people like the bureaucrats that have been burying out soldiers in the wrong graves in Arlington, or the incompetent bureaucrats who act like the gang that can’t shoot straight down with the gulf clean-up, or the SEC regulators who were all watching porno while the banks cratered our economy, or the minerals management bureaucrats who were also watching porno instead of inspecting drilling rigs, or the congress who voted for 12 trillion dollars in a health care boondoggle and never even read the bill. It’s costing the average American 55% of the hours you work to pay for all these useless government employees. How much are you willing to pay? Are you willing to pay too much?

The great boom which cause the Industrial Revolution in the late18th century was not only the invention of machinery which made the production of textile and cloth much more efficient but the subsequent development of the energy sources to run the machines. Steam engines driven by coal; flour mills driven by hydro power; and in the 19th century the electric and gas motor; and then, in the 20th century nuclear.. These sources of energy were economical, powerful, available, cheap, and for their time relatively clean.

 

The modern day Green Movement, as it related to energy sources, has so far failed. Men and women in past centuries were not unaware of the energy sources of the sun, the wind, and geo-thermal heat, but they realized that these were not reliable, transportable, and economical so they pursued other avenues. The Bureau of Economic Analysis reports that Colorado lost 2.5 billion in revenue last quarter in a year over year analysis and is down 4.8 billion a year since the recession began.

 

High paying jobs continue to be outsourced as companies cash in on the American markets but send their jobs to foreign lands. Staggering under the load of personal debt, burdened with onerous Federal taxes, and bleed out by the states insatiable appetite for more and more of every company’s cash; the private sector is dying and the entrepreneurs are quickly heading to greener pastures off shore.

The State of Colorado is on the verge of destroying every Mom and Pop liquor store in the state. They are going to allow the large grocery chains to start selling beer and liquor. This will be another step in severely hurting the Colorado economy. Now the small business owners will be put out of business and all the profits and much of the operating cash for the industry will be sent out of the state,

 

This will further drain the state’s operating cash and force the now profitable stores to lay off all their employees. It is also going to damage the state’s small breweries and wineries because the large stores will only carry the most popular brands and the smaller producers will be put out of business.

 

This is the problem with electing career politicians, lawyers, and pseudo professionals who have never made a payroll, never run a business, and don’t know were money comes from or how profits are produced. It’s apparent that the members of the state legislature are suffering from a bureaucratic mind set and will do everything they can to damage the state economy. If we the people still keep voting for these kind of people we don’t deserve to prosper.

The Secretary of State of Colorado is now going to charge a dollar a character for Colorado citizens who have a need to file paper work at the Secretary of States office. Anyone starting a new business in Colorado needs to file their corporate or DBA papers with the Secretary of State. Now the cost of starting a business has just gotten much more expensive. I guess it’s time to take a second look at those Delaware Corporation I see advertised everywhere.

 

The State of Colorado and the Colorado bureaucracy are analogous to the nobility and royal household in the time of the French Revolution. They were deaf to the pleas of the third estate and were subjugating them with their onerous taxes and elitist and selfish arrogance. The government politicians and bureaucrats have become an entity of, by, and for themselves and are totally detached from the citizens they are supposed to serve.

 

The cry from the taxpayers is cut, cut, cut and dismantle all the superfluous and frivolous government oligarchy and end the costs associated with it.
