PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

The big rant today is over Romney and the Private Equity firm he founded called Bain Capital. Private Equity companies are a group of investors who accumulate a pool of money to start businesses, turn around failing businesses, or fund new entrepreneurs in their start up businesses. These savvy investors are what’s knon as Venture Capitalists and supply venture capital or VC to the business community.

Many small companies find it hard to breakout from a small regional enterprise or a small market share supplier into the national or international scene without the injection of a large amount of cash that the expansion would take. The private equity firms supply this capital to build these businesses.

Once the company is viable, making a profit, and has established its manufacturing and distribution infra structure, many companies will then contact Investment bankers and go public with an IPO or Initial Public Offering. These investment bankers will underwrite the new stock offering of growing companies and offer their stock for sale in the equity markets.

Many pension funds and insurance companies invest in these private equity companies because they receive the high returns they need to support the benefits they have promised to their subscribers. Companies under the auspices of private equity company hire people, build human resources within these companies, build supply chains that employ large numbers of people, and both they and all their vendors and employees pay taxes and support communities across this land.

However, the big controversy today is whether Romney used his position as a venture capitalists and his private equity company to buy companies and eviscerate them by selling off all their assets, absconding with all their cash, and borrowing large sums and then bankrupting the company like bloodsuckers feeding off their victims. Although many private equity companies do do this, it appears form the record that Bain did not. They were very successful not in devouring companies but in saving and building successful enterprises.

I am not a Mitt Romney fan, I know him to be a Big Government Neocon, but I do defend him and his private Equity firm: Bain Capital. This model of venture investing is far better than government subsidies using cash ripped away form the taxpayer and squandered away on boondoggles like with Solyndra, GM, or big bank bailouts. Venture capitalists risk their own money and take their own losses.

Most people are employees and have no idea how difficult it is to start a business and make a payroll; employees just blindly show up to work and go home with a paycheck. Someone else does the risk taking, invests the cash, markets the product and writes the paychecks. These companies are not taxing authorities like the government bureaucrats that can routinely make foolish, clueless, idiotic decisions and send the bill to the taxpayers; private equity companies absorb the risk in hopes that they and their investors-like your pension fund-will make a profit. Only enterprises that provide a desirable product or service are self sustaining employers and can support long term employment.

Next time you drive around your community, or go to the mall, or go to work know this that some entrepreneur took a tremendous risk to build those stores and businesses; If you work for the government remember the government produces nothing so you too are supports by private equity that earns a profit which is taxed away form a capitalists.

Nobody would suggest that we return to the habit of saving your money under your mattress; but the concept of securely saving your wealth is just as real today as in day gone by. During the Depression people did not trust the banks, many banks had gone broke, so they hoarded their money by hiding it in their homes. In those days the money had real value since it was backed by silver: in fact it was called a silver certificate. Today money is drastically losing its value every year so hiding your money in the basement will cost you valuable buying power. Money is like your car-the longer you have it the less it is worth. The worthlessness of money has given the old expression, “time is money” new meaning; as time goes by your money loses its value.

So if you put your money in a savings account or invest in government treasuries or in the bond market your return will be almost 10% lower than the rate of inflation (the effective inflation rate has been about 13% for the last several years-gasoline has doubled since 2009). Last month the American Farm Bureau Federation reported that the average Thanksgiving dinner was 13% higher than last year, not counting the increased energy costs to cook it. If the Dow Jones is an accurate indicator of the Stock Market your stocks have lost about 40% since 2008 ( don’t forget the Dow simply eliminated Enron, AT&T, Honeywell, Eastmen Kodak, GM and many others when they lost money or went bankrupt). The average 401(k) lost between 17.7% and 60% in the 2008 bust according to USA today. Capital investments in oil and gas have stagnated over the last several years, and residential home equity nationwide has evaporated as home prices continue to drift lower each quarter.

Investing as a method of protecting and increasing your wealth has become an almost impossible task. Even Social Security is iffy; I don’t know any credible economists who don’t believe that the Federal Social Security program will soon go bankrupt ( in fact it is already bankrupt-every penny in the trust fund has been stolen by Congress). The N.Y. Post is reporting that the Federal Debt in total is 120 trillion dollars including borrowed money, intergovernmental debt like the stolen SSI fund, and promised liabilities like SSI, Medicaid, Medicare, government retirement obligations, and GI benefits, etc.

What can you do to protect your nest egg and have reliable income to retire on? The only answer for the most people is to invest in a business that produced a cash profit every month. Then, instead of investing your are in business and producing rather than depending on investments like bank interest or stock equities (don’t forget the banks and Wall Street just went bankrupt and needed to be bailed out by you).

The only real alternative for us average people is to invest in Real Estate. WHY AMERICA ISN’T WORKING FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE HOMEOWNERS

The Federal Reserve is depressing interest rates, yet most people with higher interest rates are not refinancing or are unable to refinance. The problem is that the Fed has set out the bait for would be borrowers but has trapped itself in a vicious circle of worthless money. As the Fed lowers interest rates it kills jobs by it’s cheap money policies; cheap money destroys the return on capital investment, inflates away savings, drives prices up, and forces banks to invest the cheap money in stocks rather than loan it out to businesses or homeowners.

The very thing they are trying to accomplish, building production and creating demand, they are defeating by debauching the dollar. The results of valueless cash is to continue to prop up the very policies that brought down the economy originally. The housing prices are artificially inflated by manipulating interest rates, incomes decline and joblessness remain at all time highs because there is no solid demand in the market place, tax revenues are depressed because incomes and profits are declining, public debt continues to soar as politicians and bureaucrats wallow in a cesspool of socialism and entitlements, companies are lured out of the country by lower production costs, reasonable regulations, higher profits, and lower corporate taxes.

Now the Fed is liquidating the rising debt of the American and European politicians, further eviscerating the dollar, causing more inflation, less investment, more debt spending, continued joblessness and weak demand. The circle remains unbroken. The Fed’s failing polices become less and less effective and their arsenal of monetary weapons become increasing ineffective until finally the whole edifice comes crumbling down, and the economy collapses into a heap of paper money and foreclosed debt.

The vacuous talking heads and academics pretend that America’s monetary economic system is high tech, modern, and dynamic; able to throttle the engine of a global economy: but in reality it is just the age old gimmick of inflating fiat money and the foolish belief that you can create something from nothing. History is a stern task master and every time inflating the currency has been tried in the past, all the way back to ancient Greece, it resulted in a total collapse of the economy. Greece is again collapsing, and so is Europe and America. The secret is that there is no secret: Hard work and production drive a booming economy, not printed money and massive debt.

The only real alternative for us average people is to invest in Real Estate. The failure of the so called “Supercomittee” perpetuates the culture of failure that has intoxicated the House and the Senate for over a hundred years. They say power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely; since the passage of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution the wealth of America has been flowing from the people to the politicians in Washington; with wealth come power over the American people.Washington has been raping the income of the people and squandering it away on foolish and unproductive bureaucracies. Now America is hopeless bankrupt, and the Congress, in the form of a Supercomittee, is incapable of reducing their wanton spending and cut the Federal budget.

The failure of Washington has sent the financial market into a tailspin and ensured continual joblessness in the future. This is a clarion call to every wealthy person earning a good living to bail out of America or at least get their wealth offshore before Uncle Sam punishes the productive wage earners again for the government’s failure. This congressional foundering has ensured that the deficit and the interest on the debt will soon surpass the American GDP (the total value of all the goods and services produced in the U.S. In a single year). This is exactly the disaster the European countries have created; and we are all watching as Europe sinks into financial ruin.

This is simply further evidence that government at every level in completely and totally incompetent; incapable of managing the simplest job and must be cut to the bone and the power returned to we the people before America goes the way of the Soviet Union or the E.U. There is no fixing Washington; we must dismantle it and board it up.
