ENERGY EFFICENICY IN A GREEN WORLD

 

I would like to educate you today on the meaning of the factors used to define the insulating value of a product or system installed during the construction process. Keep in mind, that in modern construction you must be very careful to design and install a complete system. Insulating a home should be one component along with window size and location, any solar or geothermal equipment, high efficiency furnace or boiler, and house placement in relation to the sun and the northern exposure. This is why it is so important to have a concept of the home when You are shopping for the land – let the experience of a seasoned builder represent you and advise You on Your land purchase. K factor – is the rate at which heat flows through a material or insulation. The K factor is usually based on 1” of material – the lower the K factor the getter the insulating value.

 

C factor – Is also the rate of heat passing through a material but can be for any thickness, not just one inch.

 

U factor – is the overall conductivity of heat through a material when that material is being used as a complete installed envelope. For example, the U factor will tell you how well the entire building will prevent your heat from escaping. You can calculate the U factor by adding up all the C factors for each layer of wall covering. The lower the U factor the greater the resistance to heat transfer.

 

R factor – this is the insulating value and is the inverse of the U factor. The greater the R factor the greater the insulating value. The R value is usually calculated for only one component of the construction, like fiberglass insulation, and not the whole wall detail. Please note, insulation R value should be only one component in you design. If the house is not build tight, but has air infiltration, the R value will be of little benefit.

SOLVING OUR ECONOMIC PROBLEMS

 

The cause of our economic problems is the Federal Reserve System. They have colluded with the banks in America to create money where no money existed, and then loan this created money out, building a colossal burden of debt on the backs of Americans. The Federal Reserve and the Banking system are not the friends of the American consumer. The money that was created, and saddled onto the Citizens of our country, is fiat money, and has diluted the buying power of the dollar, and destroyed its hallowed place in the global economy.

 

The solution that is proposed by the administration is just more of the same: it hasn’t worked in the past; it is the cause of our present dilemma, and will only perpetuate and complicate the situation. What we need is to dissolve the Federal Reserve and start a national bank.

 

The new American Bank, owned by the American citizens, will then create money and loan it out for a reasonable interest, and the profits they make will go to offset out national debt and tax needs. Creating money is the constitutional responsibility of the Federal Government. At present the Federal Reserve is creating the money and charging the tax payer, or borrower, interest on the money they created. Why do we need a middleman, let’s just create the money as a country and keep the interest to pay for government. Please note THE FERERAL RESERVE IS A PRIVATE BANK, if you look in the phone book, the Federal Reserve is not listed in the government pages. There was a court filing under the Freedom of Information act to find out where the TARP money went, but the court ruled that the Federal Reserve is not subject to the Freedom of Information act, because they are a private corporation and not a public entity!

 

In the mean time the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department are forcing interest rates lower to move the excess inventory of homes, and solve the Real Estate Crisis.
