DEATH OF A DREAM FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE CHILDREN
There are some dreams you wake up from with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart; there are some dreams your wake up from in terror wondering where that dream came from; and there are other dreams that give meaning to your life, purpose to your struggle, and promise to your future. When I was younger I truly believed in opportunity. I went to college, I worked hard, I invested, I started a construction company, I built a future for myself and my family; but today that opportunity is no longer available. The government has destroyed the American Dream. Large corporate monoliths in collusion with the governments, have monopolizes almost every industry. The local governments have ruled and regulated the small entrepreneur out of the equation. The states have created winners and losers so that no young upstart can get a hold on The Dream. The Federal government has locked business men and women out of most businesses, and the courts and the lawyers are systematically chasing doctors out of practice. It’s almost impossible to get started these days.
The co-founder of Home Depot, Bernie Marcus, told Fox news that he simply couldn’t start his business in today’s environment. Inane laws like Dodd-Frank, Sarbane-Oxley, business busting labor laws, anti business government legislation , anti-capitalism taught in all our schools, lack of available private capital, and the resulting poor economic performance the pervades our society all militate against new start ups.
Our children are programed to settle into a mediocre job where they are enslaved by income and payroll taxes; where their wealth is confiscated by local, state, and federal bureaucrats and politicians. We no longer live on the edge but have become drones and worker bees in the government hive. Our jobs are the property of the government selected monopolies and we are held on a tight leash ever worried that we will be laid off or downgraded by the employing king makers who support the elected elite. Our pay checks are the expressed property of the IRS, state taxing authority, local income tax collectors, real estate tax assessor, and on and on.
Now we are involved in a national election to decide who will control your wealth: the democrats or the republicans? America, we can change this horrible mess if we want to. We can take back outlives and our paychecks. We can close down the government plantation and start living the dream again-It’s up to us. Do we have the courage to take back control of our lives or Not: You Decide?
