With the insatiable tax juggernaut perusing every earner, the mortgage deduction is looking more and more like a thing of the past. I think everyone knows that Las Vegas casinos or the Colorado Casinos do not pay true odds. If you bet in a game at the casino where the true odds are 100:1, then all you need to do, on average, is play 100 times to break even. Then it becomes a game of money management, where if you win on say the 30th time, or the 60th time, just quick and you are ahead. But the casino do not pay true odds; so if you play a game with 100:1 odds the casino only pays 75:1 so eventually everybody loses. Almost every stock in the stock market worldwide is ridiculously overpriced; because the prices are not set by profit margins and balance sheets but rather by stock exchange investors whimsy and too many dollars chasing to few stocks. The result is heated speculation and a market that just blows about like a balloon in a stiff wind with no logic or reason guiding it. The Dow will rise a hundred points on vacuous reports of consumer confidence or the Fed printing billions more dollars.

The big computer modeling investors are steeling all the speculative equity by insider trading. Everyone on Wall Street and in the SEC knows what is happening, but are paid not to question this corrupt system. Wealthy investors generally do not invest in publicly traded stocks but in city wide or state business that are owned and managed for the benefit of the stock holders. Much of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway is predominately invested in small wholly owned business; they are companies that have intrinsic value, and are controlled by Buffet and his company.

The congress is about to pass another 26 billion dollar bail out for the state governments. All but two of the state governments are perilously close to, or are already, bankrupt just like the Federal government, and are in dire need of budgetary restraint; so this bail out will give their irresponsible fiscal policies a new lease on life. The State of Colorado is one billion dollars in debt and doesn’t have the money to pay the bill unless they substantially increase your taxes to cover their foolish spending, or cut government waste and do the responsible thing.

This time the congress is going to pay for its most recent boondoggle by taxing any company or business for any job where they employ a foreign worker. This ill-conceived scheme will punish any foreign or domestic employer. So companies like Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Ford, Wal-Mart, will be punished and forced to consider moving their entire operation to foreign shores to keep solvent and avoid this punitive tax. Companies who just trade with the US under our free trade policies will not be punished.

This kind of in your face tax shows that politicians and bureaucrats have no idea how businesses work. Businesses are answerable to their stock holders and will be forced to avoid this tax and start to relocate their corporate operations to countries where there is a friendly, favorable atmosphere towards business. Like the gang that couldn’t shoot straight, politicians whether republican or democrat can be relied upon to do exactly the opposite of what common sense and rational logic would dictate. This bill will destroy jobs and permanently ship good, high paying jobs offshore.
