NETWORKING FOR YOU FUTURE WITH REAL ESTATE EVERGREEN COLORADO

 

The economy and the job market are tough and unfriendly. Companies are reporting hundreds or even thousands of applications for each job opening. Highly qualified applicants are routinely turned away or not called for interviews if they have the slightest blemish on their resume. If they are 45 years or older, if they were making 70k or more, if their skills are not perfect or need a little updating, or if, or if, or if…they are summarily rejected. It is a difficult time and it is hard not to get discouraged and depressed.

 

You feel you did everything right: you went to college or learned your profession, you worked hard for the company, you contributed to it’s success, you went the extra mile and now you are “unemployed” and your entire life and all you worked for is in jeopardy. The normal channels for finding a job are not working. What to do?

 

The answer is to start networking. We are living in the age of communication and there are several basic tools at your disposal. Begin by making a list of everyone you ever knew all the way back to childhood. Contact everyone at your church, any organization you can get an E-mail list for, all your relatives, mention your job search to the kids parents when you see them. Ferret out their phone numbers or their E-mail. Get on facebook and learn how to contact everyone on your list. Sign up on Twitter and again learn how to maneuver on the site and search for every business contact you ever made. Visit with them, reestablish you relationship or contact and ask for their help in your job search. You must become a sales person and sell yourself to everyone.

 

Buy a copy of Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. Prepare a script for talking to people that gently moves the conversation towards your job search. When you have drafted a script you can control the conversation because you know where it is going. Practice the script with you spouse or a friend. Role-play until it becomes natural. Keep the faith, have a good time with it, make new friends and rekindle old friendships, don’t be embarrassed; it’s not as hard as you think.

IS IT A GOOD TIME TO RENT EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

 

The mood of the country is depressing. Very few, if any, people are optimistic about the future of the American economy. The administration is dumb struck and unable to stabilize or decrease the rising unemployment rate. Now, the facts are coming out, that Secretary Geitner and Fed Chairman Bernanke were instrumental in causing the mortgage derivative scandal. Meanwhile, our jobs and our future are being outsourced to foreign competitors and neither the democrats nor the republicans have the will to stop the hemorrhaging.

 

Every professional and every business person I speak to is worried. Income and profits are down and if the economy is growing they can’t find any evidence to support such a claim. Most feel the government is cooking the numbers and I tend to agree. NAFTA/GATT trade agreements cut the throat of the American economy by removing all legitimate trade protections which insured the fair playing field for the American worked and the American small business. Now any corporate survivor still located in America will have to cut their salaries to compete with China, India, South America, etc.

 

Until we as a people start to put America first our economy will continue to slip.

 

So I believe that renting is a good option until you can see what the next few years will bring. I don’t see the Real Estate market rebounding until America wises up and gets control of its markets again.

UNITED AIRLINES TO STAB THE EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE WORKER IN THE BACK

 

United Airlines has just announced that it will buy 50 new airplanes – 25 from Boeing and 25 from Airbus. When United went into bankruptcy they tightened their belt, became more competitive and marketed the American public asking us to support them. Now they want to stab their American customers in the back by shipping half of their purchases, half of their manufacturing revenue, half of their engineering, half of their jobs, half of their capital investment, and half of their support for suppliers and subcontractors to Europe.

 

My advice to all hard working Americans is to cut your United business in half. If you want America to rebound and your job and retirement to be secured then religiously buy American. Not just American final products but products and services that support American workers and American businesses. If an Automobile company wants to buy their engines, their tires, their bodies and bumpers from foreign companies then let them sell them to foreign customers. Every time you buy China you shorten the amount of time it will take for your job to be outsourced and reappear in China, South Korea, India, Brazil, or where ever.

 

We must demand that American products and services are the highest quality for the lowest price but we must also discipline ourselves to keep our jobs, our dollars, and our income here in the states. Every time you go to Wal-Mart and buy China your job becomes less secure and America slides further into decline.

Amid all the hustle ands bustle of the Christmas season are the plans for the Colorado State Legislature to convene again in January. All the media chatter is discussing, almost exclusively, is how the State and the State budget will cover its costs. Everyone is wondering where the revenues are coming from to fund the State government spending.

 

I see no real concern for the Colorado Citizens who are all hurting. There is no serious talk of deep, deep spending cuts, no talk of changing the state PERA plan to a self funded 401k, no talk for the state to stop draining the cash out of the economy, no talk about helping to generate real jobs in the private sector, no real talk about enticing companies into the state, no real talk of confronting the Federal Governments increasingly confiscatory tax burden, no talk of curtailing the environmentalist agenda by applying real science to every issue, no real talk of wooing the oil and gas industry back to Colorado with its jobs and revenues, no real talk about nuclear energy and construction jobs, etc. Its time for our politicians and bureaucrats to GET REAL.

 

Lets not allow the media to control the conversation this next election cycle. Lets demand real changes in Colorado this November.

A SIGN OF THE TIMES IN EVERGREN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

 

Here we are again, another year has gone by and we are in the Christmas Season.  This should be a happy time for all.  This is the time we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, with churches having manger scenes, Christmas plays, etc., but for some churches this may be their last time to celebrate this happy occasion.   Many churches today are not collecting enough money to keep their doors open.

 

With people losing their jobs, homes and not having enough money to put food on their tables, it is no wonder that churches are hurting.  People are holding onto every dollar they have trying to keep their families afloat.

 

Some churches may be forced to close their doors and even sell their properties because they cannot afford to pay the bills to even keep them vacant.  What a sad time in America.  Sometimes these churches are purchased by other churches and turned into schools, day care centers, etc. Many of these churches have been in their communities for generations lending helping hands to people in need, but now they are the ones in need, with their closing the communities will feel a great loss.

 

Let us all take some time this Christmas Season to thank the Lord, (who was born to give us salvation) for all the blessings that we do have.

The State of Colorado has just posted a super high foreclosure rate with Mesa County tripling the number of foreclosures as for the same three-month period last year. People are losing their jobs in Mesa County largely because the democrats have chased the oil and gas business out of the state. Why we are demonizing the oil and gas business I don’t know? Without oil and gas the economy would not just be slow but would grind to a halt.

 

The net result as I see it is that the whole paradigm of life is changing. This is not a bad thing just a different thing. For years we were all concerned with how much our homes were worth and how much could we borrow against the equity. We lost the home in the house. We no longer thought of our home as a family abode but only a money ATM that we could milk for more spending cash.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that home will continue to increase in value over time, there is no doubt in my mind that a home will be a marvelous hedge against Uncle Sam’s inflationary spending. There is no doubt in my mind that your home will continue to be the center of the life of your family. Yet the age of being mortgage poor and house rich is passing away.

 

Perhaps it is a good thing that we are slowing down because we have no money to spend.
