When you put that person out of business by allowing China to undersell them with cheap sweat shop labor and stolen patents and copy rights your community and your country lose all that economic activity and your GNP goes down. Most of the time the reason that the American company becomes uncompetitive is not their price or productivity but they are severely weighed down with foolish taxes, un-funded local, state, and especially Federal rules and regulations, idiotic and wasteful hidden federal excise taxes at every level of production, union wages at every shipping port in America which burdens our exports with onerous and unnecessary labor costs, one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world which must be passed along to the customer in order to avoid bankruptcy, and foolish parasitic politicians and bureaucrats who have no idea how money is earned and how beneficial and necessary productive labor is to any society.

As with anything else, it is always a good idea to get an estimate of what the move will cost.   If you are moving from Texas to Colorado, you might want to check out movers that are local.  Have the movers come to your house, so they can see what they will be moving; then they can give you a solid price quote.  Make sure there are no hidden charges in this price quote.  Know what you are getting.  Have them give you a detailed list showing all the charges and if you are not sure of something then ask.

 

Shopping on the internet for a mover is not always a good idea.  First of all, you will be taking all the responsibility for the price quote because they will ask you for an inventory of what they will be moving and so you will give them what you think the inventory is.  This could lead to higher costs when they actually come out to move you because the inventory you calculate and they calculate may be different.  Now you are in a predicament; you have to move and the price is more than you expected.  That is why a local mover is always better because you will interview them and get an exact quote with no surprises.
