LET’S LOOK AT SELLING PRICES FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE

 

The historical rule of thumb in the Real Estate business is that a resale should be about 10% less than new construction. Or to look at it another way new construction is worth a 10% premium.  With the EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE market down over 10% or more building new homes is now more like a 20% premium. This is too much of a gap to over come in today’s market place.

 

There are plenty of homes for sale that were built in the last few years that have all the bells and whistles that any new home would have. Most of the price of new construction is hard costs and there is little wiggle room in price negotiations. If the builder is dealing with construction financing the interest payments each month just add additional cost to the home and further limit price negotiation.
