Forrester ran a survey to see how major American companies were achieving these four management areas. They found that in all areas company and customer satisfaction were generally high.

I only wish that the Forester Company would research why American workers in say Detroit can’t deliver the same level of satisfaction as the employees in India, or China, or Russia, or wherever. I wonder if they researched how many American jobs need to disappear before companies don’t have enough business to keep their own doors opened. Why don’t they research how much money a company will save if we export the CEO and upper management jobs to off shore gurus who can run the company from the Bahamas. Why not see if the stockholders are satisfied with their return on investment and if their dividends are enough, adjusting for taxes and inflation, to support them in today’s recessionary economy. Why not investigate a restructuring of the cooperate election system and give the stockholders a firm say in upper management decisions, appointments and remuneration, and out-sourcing.

Perhaps it’s time to rethink the entire corporate edifice from the root to the upper branches. It’s a new century and we need a new paradigm. Now is the time to act.
