PROGRAMMING THERMOSTATS FOR EVERGREEN COLORADO REAL ESTATE
In homes that are heated by a forced air heating or cooling system there must be at least one programmable thermostat. This thermostat must be able to maintain a constant temperature from 55 degrees to 85 degrees. The thermostat must be programmed to no more than 70 degrees C initially and no lower than 78 degrees for air conditioning.
These programmable thermostats are more expensive than the manual but will save the average home $150.00 to $200.00 each year in saved energy. This requirement is only for forced air systems.
