The foreclosure epidemic is hurting all real estate values. Sellers not in distress are being forced to lower prices to match the prices of bank owned properties. Bank properties are pulling down the prices from 10% to as much as 25%. The problem goes far beyond the adjustable rate mortgage problem. The unemployment and under employment crisis is the real culprit.
The Federal Government has foolishly negotiated our jobs away with their lop sided trade agreements with other countries. These trade pacts are sold as “Free Trade” deals that will increase our market share in the global market and therefore create jobs and prosperity. But American politicians are almost exclusively over educated bureaucrats and lawyers who never ran a business. They have no business sense and no existential practical business experience. Our negotiators are someone with a degree in political science that has had a career in the Foreign Service as an assistant to some ambassador, who was appointed because they gave large donations to the president’s campaign.
Consequently foreign countries are out negotiating us at every turn and the result is not only NOT free trade but an agreement stacked against American Corporations and against the American Worker.
